What to Expect During Your Visit
Visiting an urgent care clinic can feel overwhelming, especially when your pet isn’t feeling well. At Gems Veterinary Urgent Care, we’re here to make the experience as clear, calm, and supportive as possible from the moment you walk through the door.
When you check in, whether online or in person, one of our trained team members will start with a triage assessment. We’ll collect important medical history and determine how urgently your pet needs care. From there, your veterinarian will perform a focused exam, recommend any necessary diagnostics, and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your pet’s specific needs.
We take time to walk you through each step of care. That includes explaining any recommended tests or treatments, along with cost estimates, so you always feel informed and confident in the decisions you’re making. Some pets improve quickly and can head home after treatment. Others may need monitoring, additional support, or transfer to a specialty hospital depending on their condition.
At every stage, our goal is to prioritize your pet’s comfort, safety, and the best possible outcome. With open communication and a strong focus on transparency, you’ll always know what to expect, helping reduce stress for both you and your pet.

What Is Urgent Care for Pets?
Urgent care fills the gap between your regular veterinarian and a 24-hour emergency hospital. It’s meant for situations that need prompt attention but aren’t immediately life-threatening. Whether your pet is suddenly limping, vomiting, or has a wound that needs quick care, our experienced veterinary team is here to help. We provide timely diagnostics, effective pain relief, and treatment to help your pet feel better, faster.
When to Visit Our Urgent Care
Our urgent care services are here for those sudden health issues that just can’t wait for a routine vet visit. If you’re unsure whether your pet needs urgent care or emergency care, give us a call. We’ll help you determine the best next step.
